And while the finale wasn't how I'd like to have seen things that even contradict the lesson the first story was attempting to teach, the most powerful of moments was certainly these two's hearts being torn in two as they've failed the ponies around them:
Rarity let down her town, damaged heavens knows how much property and ponies hurt.
AJ letting down her family/herself as her business falls apart around her as she fails to bring in the money she needs to support her lifestyle and perhaps family. Destiny changing is one thing, I imagine everything else stays the same.
These two. Their friendship is the closest of friendships that would have the possibility to bloom just past the marker, and potentially work out. Whatever their destinies, there is no denying these two have a special chemistry. And I can't ever imagine continuing to watch this show without either of them.
Forgive my trip down memory lane. This is picture just really caught my eye. It's so innocent, so carefree. It's so very Season 1 post Look Before You Sleep. These two have grown so much over the past 3 seasons. It's really something of a testament to how well their characters blend considering the complete opposite side of the pole their worlds are. They are both very dedicated to their craft. Independent. Business savvy. These two are the dusk to the others dawn.
Sorry, I said I'd stop. Love the softness in this and how it all draws attention to their eyes. Best ponies with best manes&tails having a nice girls day out to help AJ appreciate her more feminine side I would imagine. SO cute. Your art is just so peaceful and fun. Even after all this time, I can see why this was so eye catching to deserve a favorite. Going to bump this one up to the front more.
Such a heartwarming scene <3
Stay awesome, Rom-Art. Stay awesome.
